In the chess club, as we do in real life, we have several goals:
To obtain humility
To obtain patience.
Learning from both our mistakes, and our successes. ----
After a chess match in real life, a hand-shake is required to be done out of sportsmanship. If you co-operated in a chess game online, both players must "Shake" by saying "GG". GG is short for Good game, and shows a certain sportsmanship. If you truly want to, you may also fully type "good game" out. But "GG" or "gg" is just fine. --
Talking about past chess matches is fun, and helpful. We encourage it. What we don't want is for a junior member to be redundantly bragging about a chess game that happened in freshman year. It's irritating to the person you matched with, and to be perfectly frank, nobody wants to hear it.
